Paralegal Certificate
The Paralegal Certificate is designed for individuals currently working in the legal field, as well as those with a degree in another discipline seeking to enhance their credentials through a focused, law-related curriculum. The program is nationally recognized by the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE) and includes a chapter of Lambda Epsilon Chi, the Paralegal Honor Society.

Program Information
The Paralegal Certificate is designed for individuals already working in the field as a paralegal who wish to acquire a college credential. Also provides specialized legal training to individuals who may already have a degree in another field or to individuals interested in pre-law.
Success in the program is defined by your ability to apply what you’ve learned in real-world scenarios. This program ensures that every student achieves the following core competencies:
- Apply basic legal concepts and fundamental principles of law for varied legal tasks.
- Demonstrate the ability to utilize field specific technology.
- Perform legal analysis for varied legal matters.
- Conduct client interviews and prepare witnesses and evidence for presentation at legal proceedings.
- Perform legal research and utilize techniques of legal writing in the preparation of legal documents.
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with the ethical obligations of the legal profession to avoid ethical violations.
