Summer Financial Aid
You may be eligible for aid to pay for your educational expenses if you enroll during the summer semester. Summer is treated as the third and final semester of the current financial aid award year. Your eligibility for summer aid depends on whether you have aid remaining after the fall and spring semesters. Eligibility is based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Available Summer Aid
Pell Grants
If you qualify for a summer Pell Grant, the Financial Aid Office will automatically
award the maximum amount based on your enrollment and prior awards. No separate request
is needed.
Federal Student Loans
You may be able to borrow a federal loan for summer if you have loan eligibility remaining
from fall or spring. At least half-time (six or more credits) enrollment is required.

Getting Started
- Complete outstanding items on your PeopleSoft To Do List and StudentForms To Do List. Processing financial aid documents can take up to two weeks, so start early and be sure to check your MyFCC email for updates.
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards, or have an approved appeal and be on probation for the summer semester.
- Demonstrate current enrollment in courses required for your program of study at FCC.

Be Sure to Plan Ahead!
Summer financial aid eligibility depends on what you have remaining from the fall and spring semesters. Submitting your documents early gives you the best chance of having your aid in place before classes begin.
